This is an old pic of the MV wrestling team, but they all have their bling, and it's a cute pic of Mike and his bodyguard. I get a big kick out of listening to these two. I swear they finish each other's sentences. They are just like brothers. It's nice to know that my He-man picks decent friends. Just another thing I am proud of with him for. I'll have new metal mouth pics soon :)
I should probably take a video of them doing this, but He-man will talk with a Mexican accent, but speaking German. Mike talks like an Indian, and he is Mexican. I just sit and laugh and laugh and laugh. I will miss when all the carpools end. If I never let him get his license and I stop feeding him, will he stay my little baby boy? I know, I know. He'll ALWAYS be my little baby boy!

Long time no see!
I had one of those fun times of lots of rough drafts and then had to scope them all. Every time I finish, I say I will never do it again.
I think everybody is adjusted. We have about 6 extra kids in the house right now, so I guess they've made friends!
Leave it to George Porge. He's the one who has a girl over, and I just had to go bust up the party in his room. Georgie Porgie, puddin and pie, kissed the girls and made them cry. He lives up to his name, cept they aren't crying :) Who knew we nicknamed him right?!
The rest of kids are raiding the fridge and eating the leftovers. And we do have a Mikey!
The biggest kid is schooling them all in pool. Yep, that's The Hubby :)
Hope everybody had an awesome Thanksgiving!

He-man's New School
He-man, he was a little cranky this week. I know you find that really hard to believe, but it's true! Not enough sleep and too much work. Not a good combo for him. He was a great help when he wanted to be though.
I did get him in school. He was here a few days before the move. I was afraid he would get too far behind. First day of school, I asked, How do you like the new school.
He-man says, it's fine.
Second day, same thing.
Third day, same thing.
Fourth day, How do you like the new school.
I like it! There are fast food places nearby and we can eat lunch there.
Ahhhhh, teenagers.

Georgie's Move
George Porge hasn't actually gone to school yet. He was a huge, huge help to his dad this week. Brenda had called me 2 days before the move and said a friend of hers would move us too for $700. I really begged the Husband to do this. He wanted to save some money and do it himself. Of course, NOW, he said next time he doesn't care if it costs $10,000, he's NOT moving himself again!
But, the good news. He said he had a good time working with Georgie. My little muscle man was very cute. He'd carry something heavy out to the truck, and be sure that when he walked by me that I saw all the veins popping out on his arms. He definitely marches to the beat of a different drummer, but he is really a good kid!

New Schools
Suzi's only prerequisite in a new school is that she get a "nice" teacher. Well, she got her wish. I think it is a major step up from the last teacher too. A good thing.
She is now also with kids more her size. She was kind of a giant in the other school.
The first day of school, she came home and immediately did her homework. Then I didn't see her for a while. When she emerged from her room, she asked me to tie a bracelet with the letters Jessica written across them. So thanks to the angel Jessica who helped my daughter ease into her new school.
I asked her which school she liked better. She asked out of ALL the schools she has been to (5).
I said, sure.
This one is the BEST!
The next day, I picked her up from school, and lo and behold, around her neck was a necklace. Jessica had gone home and made HER a necklace.
So not even a week after our move, we do have confirmation that we did the right thing by moving.

New Jeans
It's big news!
No more sewing for George Porge!
His mommy was trying to buy him size 14 jeans in the boys section. Then to 16, then 18. My little baby boy had to go to the men's department. 30 x 30's. His daddy wore 28x30's when I met him. I think the growing spurt has begun for my little Georgie Porgie!

Just another day in paradise
As my daddy always says!
Nothing new going on. The homework's still being done. I even noticed a vocabulary study sheet in the bathroom. You know, a little light reading in the can :) TRUST ME, I am not complaining!
Just for the record, I think you should open your children's dresser drawers periodically. I want to save this just so George Porge can one day see why it is his children are too lazy to throw away trash and hide things in their drawers. I went in there to see what all we could fit into his drawers and found THREE cup of noodles "remains." It wasn't pretty.
When I griped to my mother about it, she informed me that in the room same said child was staying in at her house, she recently found 2 empty soda cans underneath a skirt of a small table. She hadn't even been in that room probably since he was there. This was about 14 months ago. Definitely, our little Dennis the Menace!

Wrinkles? Who cares!
We didn't make it to He-man's baseball tournament because it's the end of the month and The Husband had to work, and we have a million things going on at the moment. As a mom, you always worry about your babies when they are away from you. Well, I just called to check in with him, and everything is peachy.
You always wonder when they are with their friends if they talk about their mom being a pain in the butt or if they are embarrassed to talk to mommy on the phone in front of their friends. Well, can I just tell you it thrills me to no end to be getting off the phone with him, my little baby boy, the 16 year old giant, and he STILL tells me he loves me :) I am so easily amused. I know. So why worry about wrinkles? I have earned every one of these little lines by laughing when they do something funny or smiling when they do something as small as saying I love you!

Can't forget my other little baby boy
He-man has a baseball tournament this weekend, so maybe I can get some good shots of him pitching. Speaking of baseball, he's at the A's game right now about 7 rows behind the catcher. His dad is jealous. We have been here for a year and have been to no sporting events. He-man has seen the A's and the Giants. Lucky boy.

All hail Princess Suzi
Well, when we told the kids about the Korndog Blog, Suzi was VERY excited. She did, however, want to know why there was only ONE picture of her. I must do better!

My George of all trades (and Jack)
My little McGyver, gotta love him. He skates and skates and skates, and every pair of jeans ends up ripped. But this is a boy who's not afraid of a little needle and thread. No siree!
And Jack loves him some stinky feet and a photo op! Actually, that's his boy. A dog and his boy.

What mall do YOU go to?
I must preface this with the fact that I live in California and in a neighborhood where people park their Toyotas in the garage so noone will see them, but leave their Lexus, Beamer and Mercedes in the driveways or in front of their homes for the world to see.
I had the wonderful experience of taking 2 young ladies plus my own young lady to the movies today. (I really don't think I acted like that when I was little, by the way) Talk about a gabfest in the back seat! The Husband LOVED this date, let me tell you :) I heard him say OH GAWD a few times under his breath :)
Okay. So we are on our way home. One little girl starts talking about Stoneridge Mall. Suzi says, what's Stoneridge Mall? The little girls question her, you know, THE mall. Suzi says she's never heard of it. Both girls, WHAT?? Suzi says she doesn't know what they are talking about.
That begs the next question from the little girls. Well, what mall DO you go to?
Suzi says:
Drum Roll Please
Target.
(I personally think they should hire her as their new advertising person!)

My other baby boy
No, it's not middle child syndrome. Georgie just doesn't do a whole lot besides, eat, sleep and skate. This is my little skater boy. Some would call him quiet and shy until they get to know him. I call him Hubby Junior :) He may have gotten all his looks from my side of the family, but he is a 99 percent clone of The Husband.
Georgie is out firing up the grill as I speak. I have to go give the master chef my order!

Boys will be boys
And moms will be moms.
My little baby boy (16) who hasn't ventured very far from the nest too often, got up and asked to go to the mall with his newly licensed friend (whom I like very well). Well, being the mother hen that I am, I went to the car and gave them both strict instructions. Baby boy was not buckled, so of course I reminded him.
Shhhhh. I snuck in and looked out the window to watch them drive off. I was worried/wondering if he only buckled because I reminded him. Next thing I knew he was unbuckling. AAAAAAAA
He was coming back inside. Phewwww.
I scurried and made myself busy. He came in, got what he needed and out to the car he went. I perched myself back in the window. He got back in the car and IMMEDIATELY buckled.
I am so proud of such little things. It does a momma bird proud to see her baby fly right. :)

A Bad Movie to Watch Before Bed
The Husband and George Porge are watching Snakes on Planes. It's really kinda nasty seeing all those snakes. I asked The Husband what he was going to do if I dreamed about snakes tonight. (The turtle didn't fair too well)
We decided maybe he should wear He-Man's athletic cup to bed :)

My Little Baby Boy
He-Man's team won 1st place 2 weekends ago. This past weekend, on Saturday, they lost both of their games with just horrible errors and no defense. Sunday morning (bright and early) we went to the game thinking it would be over with in 2 hours and everybody could go home and go back to sleep.
Silly us. 3 games later on Sunday, the boys came out with the number 2 spot.
Congrats, He-Man!

The Husband
My Studmuffin was on the road for 10 months. He would be gone at least 6 days, and at times, he was gone for 12. I really missed him, but was so busy dealing with kids, that the 10 months did fly by. Now, he is home every night, and I see him so much more than I ever have in the 17 years we have been married. We actually get to spend weekends together and do all the fun things we like to do.
Today, The Husband had a zone meeting. I had to get him up at 6 a.m. and he was out the door within about a half an hour. He has been gone all day, and I don't expect him until probably 9 p.m.
Can I just tell you how much I have missed him today? I honestly don't know what I would do if he ever had to go on the road again. I kinda like having him around :)
Of course, the only thing he is probably missing right now is Monday Night Football.....and me, right, honey?

Tip of the Day
I do try to learn something new every day. More often than not, I am usually learning it from Georgie Porgie. You have never seen ants until you have lived in California. Not the nasty stinging fire ants like in Florida, just the RELENTLESS ants that can climb any height and find the smallest crumb of food in the most obscure places such as an unpacked box in an upstairs closet. We have finally learned that when we see one ant, it is time to call the exterminator.
Well, today, we saw not one ant, but several hundred. When I happened upon them, I told George to watch out, we needed to kill those ants. WAIT, he said, as he was unrolling a piece of scotch tape. Next thing I knew, my little exterminator was catching the ants on the piece of tape and folding it over on itself. Dead ants and no mess. Who knew he could be so creative? (Well, actually, I DID know.)
I am just trying to get him to be really creative and CLEAN HIS ROOM. That will really shock me :)

To the Korndogs
The Husband, He-Man, Georgie Porgie, and Suzi have no idea what I am up to here. My friend Ronni had a very tragic experience, and she somehow found the strength to keep people updated through her blog. As it turns out, it was a rough patch in her life, but she will have all the memories captured on her blog and has all her friends rallying around her.
I sometimes don't tell my family every day how much they mean to me, but after I get this thing rolling, they will be able to log on here and see that they are, in fact, EVERYTHING to me. I have always wanted to do notebooks for my children, maybe write down funny things they say or do. But, yeah, I am a much better typer than I am a writer :)
I hope to do this for the rest of my life and my grandchildren will someday be able to read what a goof I really am.
Okay, well this baseball mom has to leave the house at 630 a.m. tomorrow. I am already crispy from the sun today, so it probably won't be too comfy of a night.
By the way, my son pitched a kicked ass game today! Good job, He-Man!

Long day, but I accomplished something
I now have my first blog. I'm a baseball mom and have been going since the crack of dawn. I am so tired, but I wanted to accomplish this tonight. My friend Ronni is my inspiration for this. You have no idea how much you are admired, girl!
So I threw this together, that was my accomplishment. But the other big accomplishment of the day was to realize that I heard the brushing of teeth in the wee early morning hours. You'll never guess in a million years. It was a 16 year old boy. AND he was not reminded or prompted by The Mom! I think what this means is, there is hope that Georgie Porgie will also be brushing his teeth unprompted one day soon :) So 16 years of day in and day out asking, Did you brush your teeth, has finally paid off! Only 2 more kids to go!
