He-man's New School

He-man, he was a little cranky this week. I know you find that really hard to believe, but it's true! Not enough sleep and too much work. Not a good combo for him. He was a great help when he wanted to be though.

I did get him in school. He was here a few days before the move. I was afraid he would get too far behind. First day of school, I asked, How do you like the new school.

He-man says, it's fine.

Second day, same thing.

Third day, same thing.

Fourth day, How do you like the new school.

I like it! There are fast food places nearby and we can eat lunch there.

Ahhhhh, teenagers.

Georgie's Move

George Porge hasn't actually gone to school yet. He was a huge, huge help to his dad this week. Brenda had called me 2 days before the move and said a friend of hers would move us too for $700. I really begged the Husband to do this. He wanted to save some money and do it himself. Of course, NOW, he said next time he doesn't care if it costs $10,000, he's NOT moving himself again!

But, the good news. He said he had a good time working with Georgie. My little muscle man was very cute. He'd carry something heavy out to the truck, and be sure that when he walked by me that I saw all the veins popping out on his arms. He definitely marches to the beat of a different drummer, but he is really a good kid!

New Schools

Suzi's only prerequisite in a new school is that she get a "nice" teacher. Well, she got her wish. I think it is a major step up from the last teacher too. A good thing.

She is now also with kids more her size. She was kind of a giant in the other school.

The first day of school, she came home and immediately did her homework. Then I didn't see her for a while. When she emerged from her room, she asked me to tie a bracelet with the letters Jessica written across them. So thanks to the angel Jessica who helped my daughter ease into her new school.

I asked her which school she liked better. She asked out of ALL the schools she has been to (5).

I said, sure.

This one is the BEST!

The next day, I picked her up from school, and lo and behold, around her neck was a necklace. Jessica had gone home and made HER a necklace.

So not even a week after our move, we do have confirmation that we did the right thing by moving.

New Jeans

It's big news!

No more sewing for George Porge!

His mommy was trying to buy him size 14 jeans in the boys section. Then to 16, then 18. My little baby boy had to go to the men's department. 30 x 30's. His daddy wore 28x30's when I met him. I think the growing spurt has begun for my little Georgie Porgie!

Just another day in paradise

As my daddy always says!

Nothing new going on. The homework's still being done. I even noticed a vocabulary study sheet in the bathroom. You know, a little light reading in the can :) TRUST ME, I am not complaining!

Just for the record, I think you should open your children's dresser drawers periodically. I want to save this just so George Porge can one day see why it is his children are too lazy to throw away trash and hide things in their drawers. I went in there to see what all we could fit into his drawers and found THREE cup of noodles "remains." It wasn't pretty.

When I griped to my mother about it, she informed me that in the room same said child was staying in at her house, she recently found 2 empty soda cans underneath a skirt of a small table. She hadn't even been in that room probably since he was there. This was about 14 months ago. Definitely, our little Dennis the Menace!
