Hopefully a slower week ahead!

Knock on wood.

The kiddos are out of school for the next 2 weeks. It's their fall break. I am ready for a little bit slower pace. Hopefully I'll be able to post a bit more. I have some pics to add, it's just been having the time to get it done.

Just in case you are wondering

Carrot cake has meat in it.

You didn't know that?

Yep, it has meat in it. That's the boys' new phrase to their sister. Anything that they like that they want to keep her out of, they tell her it has meat in it :)

She has not eaten any meat for a good while now. I don't know for sure how long it's been, but she is pretty passionate about it.

I wish I could do that with sugar!

You just might have a preteen daughter

If you know that Nick Jonas turned 16 yesterday.

Diego wants a sign like this

Quote for the day

'Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So - if you give her any crap, you will receive a ton of shit.'

Love and appreciate all the women in your life

The curl guard

He's not letting anybody get near these curls!

It's hell being beautiful

This child had to sit for 2 hours today while I put tiny curls in her hair. Believe it or not, she didn't gripe at all the entire time. Of course, she might not have gotten to because her mom was griping the entire time :)

Our latest project

I am so jealous. You can't tell really good in some of these pics, but this wall is the most gorgeous shade of PURPLE! I love it. I wish I could paint my whole house this color.

This was our work in progress. Straight lines up and down turned out to be way too much work because of the texture of the wall. So we went with one diagonal on two walls.

Yes, he keeps all his broken decks for his skateboards. I don't want to even talk about how much money he has spent on skateboards. At least now he's learned how to get them on ebay CHEAP.

I wasn't too keen on black at first. But once I got it on the wall, it is VERY much George Porge. I was worried it was going to be Gothic, but it is more rock star to me :)

More progress...

It was very hard to get enough light to take a decent pic of the colors. I will try tomorrow to see if natural light is better.

He's a happy camper, 'cept that I wouldn't paint the ceiling. I am tired of painting for a while. At least til tomorrow anyway :) My room is next!!

Jack's new baby brother,

Please welcome, Jack's new baby brother, Diego. As you can see, they are big buddies. Jack is a VERY good brother. He was actually excited from the first time he saw Diego. Until, of course, Diego growled at him!

Let's just say, this little guy may be little, but he THINKS he is BIG!!! And he is not afraid of ANYTHING. Well, most things anyway. If he is on a bed and wants down, he thinks he has wings and can make it down safely. We think otherwise :)

It's too bad this picture didn't come with sound. You would be able to hear his VERY FEROCIOUS growl. Don't touch his pig's ear! He LOVES toys. It's fantastic because we had a ton of toys for Jack and Honey and they never touched them. At ALL. Diego does. ALL DAY LONG!!!

But when evening rolls around....He's saying....Hey, could you knock it off with that flash??? Can't a guy get any sleep around here? This is the ONLY time he is calm. He definitely keeps Jack on his toes.

Thank you! FINALLY

Being a chihuahua is a wonderful thing!

A VERY hot commodity

I betcha didn't know that Toaster Strudel is a hot commodity.

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that Suzi will read the blog and find this out.

But first off, if my children didn't act like vultures that hadn't eaten in a month, we could buy a couple boxes of Toaster Strudel, and it would last a week or so. Well, I should say that for now, it is lasting a week or so. But that's because George Porge has them hidden.

Well, yesterday, we had some drama in the kitchen. Suzi saw George making some, and she said, HEYYYYYYYYYYYY, You said those were gone.

Well, I just was doing a little laundry....in my laundry room that is centrally located in the house. It's actually off the garage....where the extra refrigerator is, but NOT near the kitchen.

Lo and behold, there is my TOASTER in my laundry room.

Now, while I appreciate that he IS that clever, is he NOT smart enough to put the toaster back so she won't wonder why the toaster is misplaced (out of her sight)?

I am not really complaining. This is really the extent of the fighting around our house. But if they all hide what they want, then it's all good :)

I don't know who they learned that from. Photobucket

Fate

Fate sort of helped us teach He-man a very valuable lesson.

He worked HARD all summer. Never was late to work, never missed work, never called in. He stayed late if they asked him, and went in if someone didn't show up.

He socked away all the money he made. It's a very good chunk.

Well, I didn't realize it, but he was saving to put a radio in his truck. There was no radio or speakers or anything. You probably know where I am going with this. 17 year old boy....truck...money....tunes.

Well, I think he had in mind he would pay whatever the cost to get this put in for him. He wanted it done a couple weeks ago, but we kind of put the brakes on him.

He and I went to lunch one day last week, and I just threw out a number of scenarios. The huge thing I was worried about was him paying a ton of money and the stuff getting stolen out of his car. It's an older car, so there are no alarms or anything like that. So I kind of asked him, what are you going to do if all your hard work goes out the window if this stuff gets stolen.

Well, to make a longer story shorter, he kind of grumbled, but DID listen.

As fate would have it, he went to a pool on Saturday to work for 3 hours. The pay was 25 bucks an hour. While he was there, someone he worked with just so happened to have the radio he wanted. He had just gotten a newer one, so had this one to get rid of. He paid A LOT less for it.

He went with his daddy yesterday and priced out some things he wanted and they feel like they got a very good deal on the rest of what he needed. The huge thing is, he saved a ton of money. He would have blown a lot more if he had just done it on his own.

At dinner last night, I asked him. I said are you excited about your radio. Of course, he is. Well, I said, how does it feel to still have a stash in the bank?

He didn't crack a smile, but those dimples sure went deep :)

So I was able to mention that moms and dads are good like that. We definitely want to help instead of hinder, and I think the picture is becoming much more clearer for him.

Now, we only have two more to pound that into (sigh).

Last one

I have to work sometime, ya know!

Precocious

Which one am I talking about :)

I would just like to take the opportunity

To thank the person who invented the steam mop. Oh, how much easier that person made my life. I think next to dusting, mopping is THE WORST JOB. Give me 8000 pounds of laundry to clean fold and put away, have it take me 8 days to do, I would still pick that over mopping. Until now of course.

The steam mop. If you don't have one, you should. Not only does it cut down on the time of cleaning, but you also know your floors are clean. I am a little neurotic and use about 4 of the cleaning pads while I am doing it to make SURE they are clean.

Okay, that was my infomercial of the day, and plus it put a break in the Suzi videos :)

I think there is one more after this!

She did burst my bubble!

When we got home. I thought she was in the front on this one because she was so cute :)

I guess a little girl got hurt when they were tumbling across the field, so her stunt group was minus one person. So they got to stand out front and look pretty!

Ta DAAAA!

After 6 hours of fooling with these videos, I realized they were too big. So with the help of youtube, here ya go! Fast forward about 10 seconds. A guy walked in front of me, so I moved closer so nobody could do that. I'll keep my day job since I will never make it as a camera person :) One more thing. You can click to enlarge, and she is the 2nd one from the left in the beginning, and if you follow her, she does a back handspring in the middle.

She's the tall one in the middle!

Thank Goodness

She still has retained some gymnastics that I paid a small fortune for!

Can't say you weren't warned!

Look at the form!!

I'm not going to say anything about how loud she is :)

Those are ORBS I tell you

Because there just wouldn't be any airborne dust or anything like that in my house. EVER. REALLY. Would I lie to you?

I have to include this pic

Because if you had taken a picture of me at this particular moment, it was probably the face I was making TOO! Those are beads of sweat on her forehead. And the red was a combination of heat and sunburn. Did I mention it was a bazillion degrees today?

I had actually placed bets to see how long she would actually do this for. I thought the cheer uniform was going to be A, too scratchy; B, too hot; C, it rides up too high on her waist; D, the undershirt is too tight (she didn't have to wear that today LUCKILY.)

So I really expected lots of complaining, but really the only one complaining was ME! Well, and her daddy who was watching 11 year olds play football on a Saturday......during college football season! (How did he ever survive, right?)

I will post a video shortly to back up what I am saying when I tell you how very proud I was of her today. Thank goodness Studmuffin wasn't around me the couple times I broke out in tears cuz my little baby girl was doing so good. I was so proud of her. She did an AWESOME job.

Isn't she pretty?

I want to name this picture, the two heads of Suzi. Sometimes I think she has two heads :) At times, I even think hers spins! But don't tell her I told you that!

The TWO Prettiest!

This is how I pick my daughter out of a group of girls that are all wearing the same uniform, but are halfway across a field from me :) Yes, they are the same age! This is our carpool buddy. She is the only one on the team that lives out where we do. Out in the sticks! Sort of.

BUT she is moving :( I hope she and Suzi don't lose touch though because she's a really sweet girl.

The only way I know to explain this phenomenon is that the girl drinks BUCKETS of milk....like my little baby boy. Coincidence?

Warning

You are getting ready to be bombarded with LOTS of pictures of the prettiest cheerleader EVER :)

Where did this week go?

You know it's a bad thing when you set appointments and think you have your day mapped out, then you realize that Monday was a holiday and you are ahead a day. I did this on Wednesday, thinking it was Tuesday. INSTANT STRESS.

So I was rescheduling what was ALREADY busy. I think I am through the brunt of my little hurricane week.

One thing good though. I got paid for 3 more leases AND I wrote up a listing AND I wrote my first offer. So I guess all in all, it was a good week except for I have been exhausted!!

The kids have been pretty good helping me around the house, so that is a huge thing for me!

My little baby boy (He-man) went and worked the football game for me today. It was my day to work for Suzi's cheerleading. That was a huge help. Then I spent a couple hours in the sun watching Suzi cheerlead. I am burnt to a crisp. It's sad. I went to work straight from there and my clothes were soaked when I got there. Lesson learned. Don't do that again!

It was wonderful though sitting in the office soaking up the 60 degree window air unit air!! So all's well that ends well! I hope everybody else had a great week!
