Can you tell?

I have been a busy little bee lately?

I became official this past week. I have my license in hand. I am also a member of a few boards now because my broker said I have to be :)

I have also officially written up two lease agreements. One is for sure, the other is iffy, but, hey, ya gotta start somewhere! It's good practice if it doesn't go through.

Kiddos are in school. Suzi's cheer starts Friday. George is already wondering when wrestling season starts, which is very shocking to me. I didn't think he would do it, but I do know he will kick butt doing it. He will be very good. He's had lots of practice with all the wrestlers that have hung out here that have outweighed him but haven't been able to pin him :)

He-man, that's another story for another day (sigh).

I am going to take my tired butt to bed now!

First day of high school

Photobucket

He was up and at it and ready to go! Probably ready to go check out the girls!

Suzi doesn't know it yet, but I was checking the website to see if she went for a full day today because she thought it was minimum day. Turns out, she doesn't even start today. So I get part of the day with my baby girl!

Sorry about the ad in that post

I don't know how to turn it off when I cut and paste the article onto the blog. I copied the article in case the newspaper takes it down.

Please don't text and drive!

I know I have teens who read this blog. I think texting and driving is going to be a far worse epidemic than drinking and driving. The two don't mix. Please wait until you are stopped somewhere to pay attention to a cell phone. It isn't worth it to lose your life over.

Woman killed in auto accident

FRANK DENZLER
Republican Staff Writer

A fatal traffic accident claimed the life of Naomi Smith, 26, of Rush County shortly before 11 a.m. Friday on CR 600N west of CR 400W.

Investigating officer Duane Raab of the Rush County Sheriff’s Department said Smith was westbound on CR 600N at what is believed to be a high rate of speed when for unknown reasons she lost control of her 2007 Chevrolet Malibu and struck a concrete culvert on the south side of the county road.

“This is one of the most extensively damaged vehicles I may have ever seen as a result of an accident,” the deputy said.

Following impact with the raised culvert Smith’s vehicle continued a southwestern path of travel and entered a corn field, traveling approximately 70 feet before coming to a stop.

“At this stage of the investigation I would have to say that speed was a factor in this accident,” Raab said.

Smith was killed instantly as a result of the collision.

It was later learned that Smith recently relocated to Rush County from Hancock County.

Smith was on her way to Greenfield to meet a relative. When she did not arrive, her mother went in search of her daughter and came upon the accident scene and called 911.

Responding to the accident were units from the RCSD, Carthage Ambulance Service, Carthage Volunteer Fire Department and Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department and Davis Towing.

Law enforcement personnel note that the view at a number of rural intersections is partially obstructed and all stop and speed limit signs need to be adhered to when traveling on rural roads.

Ruh roh

Paybacks are hell!

And SOMEBODY just said they were going to take pics of me sleeping.

I bet you can't guess who :)

*note to self....put a 25 digit password on the blog so George Porge can't post anything!

Blast from the past

As I was looking for my nail polish, MY NAIL POLISH, I knew where I left it, yet I was still looking for it.

When all else fails, ask Suzi.

I went in her room and I ALMOST asked her if she knew where my nail "potion" was. She had friends in there, so I refrained. Of course, she knew right where it was!

But when she was little, she couldn't say polish, she said potion. So if you are ever missing your nail potion, there's probably a Suzi in your house :)

He asked for it!

Now, let me explain. These kids have their OWN couch, their OWN tv, their OWN rooms.

So he was just begging for this pic to be taken! The little stinker. This is MY couch, MY living room and he didn't just happen to fall asleep here. Exhibit A, he has his blankie. Exhibit B, well, there isn't really an Exhibit B, but there is a lazy dog who actually popped his head out for the picture. It was up underneath the pillow. This is Jack and his future rock star who is practicing for the playing all night and sleeping all day gig :)

Please excuse the plaid boxers. I do know he had others on underneath that because I hollered at him to get clothes on and he mooned me the 2nd layer! That would be Studmuffin's apple :)

I decided to post this on the very slim chance that maybe someone somewhere knows something. I still have a very slight hope that maybe by some miracle this child is alive, but the reality is, she's probably not.

It makes me very sick to see a spoiled brat (Casey) rip this whole family's world apart. It just doesn't seem fair. That's all I am going to say here about it.

Today is NOT the first day of school...

But MONDAY IS :)

I don't know where I got the 25th from. It's ok though. I have to get these little boogers going to bed WAY earlier and get their butts out of bed before noon. Next week is NOT going to be pretty. Well, getting up and going to bed isn't. The in between part is good :)

Have a great weekend, everybody!

Future rock star

This and skating is all this boy did all summer.

He wanted to know WHY he had to look at the camera!

I should have taken pics of all the shoes this child has demolished. He has actually worn shoes that half his foot has hung out of. Even in winter, he would wear these nasty shoes with holes in them. BUT this guitar, it's his baby. There is not a scratch on it, and he is VERY particular about it. It goes on to the stand when he's done with it.

I hope he remembers us little people when he's a big rock star!

Being Beautiful

Is really hard work! They came up with some facial mask and cucumbers.

Looks like it's working for both of them. Maybe I should try it!

This was the scary one

That made me want to puke. If someone wasn't careful there, it would NOT be pretty!

He's so darn cute! Too bad he's a monster like my children :)

The Crazy man

Notice how far back away from him I am :)

No boo boos

Photobucket

We climbed part of this, but I got scared :)

I did survive with no boo boos tho!

I really love this man!

But I wish someone would get through his very thick skull that he is not 19 anymore. He scares the bejezus out of me crawling around on rocks and cliffs.

Photobucket

I literally got nauseous just LOOKING at him when he was walking around near those falls. It wasn't a good feeling.

Photobucket

Isn't he so cute? It's no wonder we have beautiful children!!

I'm sheltered

I am very sheltered. Yesterday, I left my little town that won't see rain until November, where the sun was shining beautifully, the temp was a nice 76 degrees. As we made our way through some of the Sierra Nevadas, I was shocked at seeing CLOUDS! I thought, uh-oh. I didn't bring a jacket. I dressed for sunshine, thinking I might come back looking like I had been on a vacation for longer than one day. It wasn't meant to be.

Luckily, my dear hubby had thrown a rain coat in the trunk of his car, probably back last winter sometime. It came in very handy. I even saw lightning last night. I don't think I have seen any in two years!

Also, this morning, evidently something was able to move the hotel we were in, because I was jumping out of bed insisting we had just had an earthquake. Nope! The western way of life in the United States is quite different from the east!

This is at Eagle Falls at Emerald Lake at Lake Tahoe.

The day is coming....

Photobucket

Not that I'm excited or anything :)

My apples

I went to work today because someone didn't show up to cover their floor time, and I told them to always call me because I will go in. I figure it's a numbers game and the more I am there, the more potential I will have.

Well, my BIG apple today also got called into work as someone call in sick. Suzi was there swimming and of course thinks she is one of the lifeguards :) He-man is going to have a whopper of a check because he's covered a few people's shifts this past week.

Well, there I am sitting in the office when my Suzi calls me. MOM! I was a victim!

WHAT?

I was a victim.

I have no idea what you are saying.

I was a victim.

Okay, what does that mean?

I had to get in the pool and say ouch, my neck, and He-man jumped in and saved me. It's all on videotape!

The actual people who issue their licenses were in there today auditing them. They had to do all kinds of procedures. Luckily, my baby boy passed, and my Suzi was saved! haha She was all excited because she had to go on a backboard. Too funny.

She said He-man was being all weird. He was asking her questions like, who are you here with.

She said, my brother.

He said, where's your brother.

Right next to me.

I would LOVE to see this video. I asked another lifeguard if He-man asked to not save HER because it was his sister. She said it was more like, does HE have to save me?? Can't it be someone else?
Can you feel the love?

My tolerance tho....

Has greatly diminished :)

It is 7 days and about 10 hours before school starts....just sayin!

I will miss my tree hugging daughter just a tiny bit! Maybe...

Photobucket

Tolerance

Woooo hooooo!

I found out the scoop. Suzi just decided she was going to sleep in her brother's room because Jack would come in there. Jack goes to bed in there when we get up. She even warned George that she was going to sleep in there.

Now, if the tables were turned, He-man would have muscled her up and dropped her in the middle of her own bedroom floor :)

Now, no sooner did I type that, and I turn around and see THIS!

Photobucket

and this!

Photobucket

It's proof that they are definitely getting more tolerant of their little baby sister! He was helping her lace her shoes "the cool way."

Or COULD it be.....

That they are going to get along fabulously every day for the rest of their lives?

Hey, a girl can dream!

Lost Daughter

After I rubbed my eyes a few times, came and checked the couches and spare room, I could not find my daughter this morning. Now that I am awake, I realized that, yes, she was here last night before I went to sleep. Hmmmm

I noticed someone else was MIA, too. Jack wasn't kicking me in the back all night. Well, he was for part of the night. I think he got cold!

Anyway, I would go take a picture, but my boys have some issue with bed frames. Both have perfectly good bed frames. New ones at that. But I guess maybe they thought they wouldn't have to make their beds if they didn't have them on bed frames at the new house. WRONG!

George Porge decided when Suzi got a new mattress, and we had a spare one, that he would double stack his bed. Then if he had friends over, he would pop a mattress out for the friend. Doesn't bother me because his room is always clean.

So, yes, you guessed it. I walk in, the music is going, it's nice and dark in there, Suzi is rattling the windows with her snoring, Jack is all snuggled under the blanket and doesn't even realize I came in there.

Summer is a wonderful thing, isn't it? Well, enjoy it now, my pretties

Your butts are back in school in 8 days! Woooo hooooo! Ooops, I got so excited about the school thing, I almost forgot what I was talking about!

So Suzi dragged her hot pink pillow, her hot pink comforter and monopolized her brother's room. I can't WAIT to see how she acccomplished this. Did she sneak in there after he fell asleep? I doubt that because he's quite the night owl. Did she go in there and lay down and fall asleep before he did? That's probable. He probably couldn't move that dead weight after it was sleeping. Or did she bribe him?

She got the serious karma payback. The last 2 houses we had, her room was on the front of the house, and the sun shined in the windows and made her room hotter.

This house, her room is in the back, AND it's also where the sun comes up in the morning :) She didn't realize this, and she taunted the boys about haha she gets the back room. They get the front rooms. So does she have something on him? Or did she pay him? He's quite the salesperson and yet, so is she. Did she sell him on letting her stay in there because it was cool? Or did he say, pay me, and I'll let you.

There is never a dull moment around here. Did I mention what happens in 8 days? That's a week from tomorrow. 192 hours from now, I will be running through the house waking up grumpy children! Not that I am counting or anything :)

Yes, We Live Here

And yet we're still pulling over on the side of the road taking pictures!! This is better than Discovery Channel, I'm tellin' ya! Who knew how they picked the tomatoes?! I sure didn't. I actually had never thought about how the salsa got to my table! haha There's a couple of my friends who might have to enlist the help of these machines judging by the size of their tomato plants!!

Self-explanatory

This one is pretty self-explanatory, but...

Do you know what these next two are?

Well, as these fields were growing, Studmuffin and I kept wondering WHY they were letting these onions get brown on the top. They looked awesome and had been so pretty green for the longest time. They even smelled like onion.

Well, to our surprise, it was garlic. I don't have pics of what they did, but they must have come through with a machine and just dug up the rows and spit them out the other side maybe. I'm not sure. But then a half a bazillion people were out picking this stuff up and putting it in those boxes. It really wouldn't surprise me if my father goes through a whole box of this stuff in a year :)

In the fields where the boxes are full, there were people out picking up the leftovers! No, I wasn't one of them :)

Studmuffin may have a secret stash I don't know about though!

It wasn't that long ago....

That I was posting pics of all the crops as they started popping up. I live in the coolest place on the planet, I think. Remember how excited I was to know there were tomatoes planted here? Would you look at this?? They have been doing truckloads like this DAILY for at least a week. I have never seen this many tomatoes. Do you know how much salsa this would make???

They still have to finish that field, and below is the one across the street. I know of at least 3 other corners of town that have just as many tomatoes, if not more. It's amazing!

Note to self: Always be prepared!

Sorry about the quality of the video and pool pics.

Normally, I carry my camera with me everywhere. I had to improvise.

That was my cell phone camera and video. Not bad, huh?

After hours

This is what goes on after hours at the pool! And also the reason my son was wanting to put my camera away :)

Who'd have thunk he'd ever be able to do a flip?

Translation

This face means.....MOM! ENOUGH with the pictures!

Now you see her...

Now you don't!

Guess what?! Suzi gets into the pool for free because she has friends in high places :) It's cool having a brother who's a lifeguard!

I miss my little Honey Bun.

As I sit here working....

I just get whiter and fatter.

My son on the other hand....can you believe the golden brown of his feet??? He has to wear a hat as part of his uniform, which is why his face from his cheeks up is white! Maybe I need to become a lifeguard.

Yeah, don't feel bad. I laughed, too.

Yes, my middle child is MIA. I think he comes home tonight, and I will stick the camera in his face :)

Why does life speed up

The older you get?

Today, before I knew it, it was 1 pm. Of course, I spent the morning waiting for the repair man that called yesterday and asked if they could change to a morning appointment instead of an afternoon!

I know that at least 2 of my children like The Krazy Korndogs blog. Suzi gets on here all the time and looks at the pics and comments on her brother's stuff! He-man just blew through here a few ago and asked me if I had done anything new on the blog.

George has to be the odd man out who tells me I need to get a life. I have one. This blog proves it :)

I looked and it's been since last Friday since I updated.

Alls I can say is, can someone slow this roller coaster down??

The west coast 4th

I wish everybody could have seen the beautiful western sky for the sunset and fireworks that I saw. The temp was probably 75 and perfect. I took the screen out of my bedroom window and was able to see a bunch of different cities' fireworks. It was very neat! Hope everyone had a good day!

We're easily amused!

This is my waterproof tablecloth. And my daughter laughing in a very goofy way! What can I say? It was cheap entertainment!

My little workin' boy!

Anytime the boy will smile and show off that THOUSANDS of dollars worth of smile, I'll take it!

He's heading out to work!

Photobucket

He's so proud of his lifeguard status!
I guess, what teenage boy wouldn't be :)

Knee high by 4th of July

At least in Indiana, that was the rule of thumb on corn growing. Who knew that I would ever move to California where I would be getting fresh local corn in June and July and August and maybe even longer? They have replanted it again already.

My dad always ate popcorn and tomatoes. I eat corn and tomatoes. Tomatoes are in right now too. Now you see why I was so crazy excited when I was taking pics of the corn as it grew!

Too much fun in the grass

And too much fun humping the new little hottie chihuahua :) He NEVER goes to bed before anybody else does!

The rough life of a chihuahua

Above is a pic of the back yard we just moved from. Notice there is no grass. Jack missed his grass! The next set of pics is Jack enjoying his morning in HIS grass! Life is good, isn't it?
