George wants a job

And He-man does NOT!

George is talking about some thing he wants to buy. It's a big amplifier thing for his guitar. All I know is he said they are big, and they have them at concerts.

He has been sitting up there picking on his electric guitar for a good 2 hours now, nonstop. It's some crazy rock sounding stuff, and not really my type of music, but I DO LOVE listening to it. He has taught himself all that stuff via the internet. I am really impressed. I'll look and see if I have video somewhere!

I found one!

It DOES NOT mean I am old!

I became a great aunt today :)

I am not sure of any details yet, I just got a text message with a picture of a happy grandma and a little baby in pink!

A friend of mine also had her daughter give birth today. Hers was a little rough and rocky. She now has a beautiful baby granddaughter who weighs under three pounds. I bet my mom remembers LOTS about preemies that small. Seems like yesterday!

K-L-A-W

Do you know what that means?

Jack does!

We resorted to spelling out w-a-l-k. When he figured that out, we would say leash. He figured that out. We would spell leash. He figured that out.

If we say....do you want to.....he knows what that means.

We switched to k-l-a-w and today, he has figured out what that means!! So my dog not only knows what you are saying, he knows how to spell AND spell backwards.

Now, if only we could teach Hubby and George and Suzi to spell

Brace update

I will try hard to get a new picture of the brace boys, but you know how that goes!

He-man now has all of his brackets connected to the wire, which means they will all be in a line soon. He still has holes where they took out 4 of his teeth. They are being a bit more aggressive about pulling a tooth back to fill that hole now and the tooth that fell back is going to be coming forward again. But, his teeth STILL don't look straight yet. His were pretty much a mess like Hubby's.

George on the other hand, his teeth have all been straight and pretty since the first month it seems like. He too got some teeth pulled on top and they are closing up his gap this next month or so, too. His main problem was that his incisors were way on the top of his gums. They have already started coming down now, but he still doesn't have brackets on those ones. I so hoped they were going to do it today. No go. He has to go to the regular dentist to check and make sure he doesn't have a cavity in one of them. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he does. It was hard as heck to brush those things. Sometimes I help him to get them all clean.

So nothing real exciting to report, which is kind of a bummer. When you're paying out that kind of money, you want to see results!! I know, I know, I'm so impatient!!

I will say that He-man's tech is VERY proud of him for the way he's keeping his teeth clean. George? Not so much! Brush those teeth, boy! Although, I do know he is trying more now. (Girlfriends tend to help with that Winking )

An amazing 8 minutes

Watch this, and you will be amazed!

I would love to be able to paint. This elephant makes it look so easy!

Watching baseball

Jack loves to watch baseball with his daddy. Daddy breaks out the peanuts (almost as good as being there) and settles down in his chair.

Jack assumes the position of watching his daddy. Daddy will shell the peanuts and share them. I don't know who enjoys baseball season more!

Being needed

I used to run a daycare in my house. Parents would always let me cut their baby's fingernails and toenails. In fact, if I didn't do them, and they needed done, they would ask me to cut them. I would cut my friends' kid's nails. Kids also used to come to me to ask me to pull their teeth. I really have no idea why. I guess because I didn't act like it was a big deal and didn't traumatize them about it being done.

Well, some things never change. My baby boy, my 14 year old, my lil George Porge, just came to me and asked me to cut his nails. The rest of the boys here were teasing him saying he would be 35 and asking his mommy to cut his nails. He said, HECK YEAH! Of course, I wasn't doing it for a while before he got his braces. Now that he has braces, he had to quit biting them.

It's so wonderful to be needed :)
