Do you hear that? It's called quiet! It's Monday morning, the kids are off to school, the dogs are in hibernation since they aren't able to sleep all weekend, and all I can hear are birds chirping and the clock ticking. Sometimes I think the clock speeds up during the day because before I know it, the craziness is back. I want to save these quiet moments now, but it is those busy moments that I will want to read back on when it is quiet like this all the time.
He-man comes in and wakes us in the morning when he "sneaks" in to grab one of The Husband's t-shirts. Georgie is the one who is making some kind of feast, he's the little chef that one, and Princess Suzi has to have her hair just right and her clothes just right. Then she likes to bug everybody til it's time to leave. Ahhhhh, good times.
The Pavlov Korndog dogs are the ones who keep real time anyway. Jack, who may really need anxiety meds, starts in with his chorus about 15 minutes before it's time to go. The little turkey even starts in about 15 minutes in the afternoon before it's time to pick Suzi up. If he thinks you are not getting his leash, he peps up the chorus a bit. With the way they act sooooo happy to have everybody home, you would think they sit around all day and sulk because their people are not home. No way. Not a peep. They are catching up so they will be ready for the next mad rush. If only we could all do that :)
