Information about Gonorrhea Lectim

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It's pronounced "Gonna re-elect 'em," and it is a terrible obamanation.

The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008...but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.

It's sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout. You take the first dose in 2010 and the second dose in 2012 and simply don't engage in such behavior again; otherwise, it could become

My morning ritual is to go open the shutters for Cujo (the chameleon) and this morning, I accidently disturbed Jack. Suzi is on the floor in there because her friend slept over. (She has a trundle, so not sure why she didn't sleep on that) As I was carefully stepping out of there, this popped out of the blanket! Yes, he sleeps on his back.

As you can see, he closed his eyes and didn't let me bother him further! This dog SOOOOO has the life!

He-man told me today that he is up for promotion as a senior guard. Especially when the seniors now go away to school again. When he does get promoted, his brother will not be able to have a job there. The City doesn't let family work under family. I am very bummed. How does this make any sense?

He-man probably wouldn't care about the senior status other than during the winter, the seniors are the ones who still work and get hours.

I think this is a really stupid rule!

Because I refuse to call any living animal Justin Bieber, I call him Cujo.....as named by a friend of mine after reading how vicious they can be. As you see, this one is a complete spoiled baby. He'll sit and let us rub the ridge under his neck.

So I have been a nervous wreck all week since He-man told me he was going to be in a Jiu Jitsu tournament this weekend. 250 lb people throwing around 250 lb people is just scary!!!

So he tells me last night, weigh-ins for adults are at 1:30.

I said, but when are your weigh-ins? He didn't like that much :) What, they don't have a huge baby boy category????

My worry was for nothing. He's pretty relentless and doesn't give up too easily. God help whoever he wraps those tree trunk legs around. I hope they don't end up with internal bleeding!!

I'll try to post a video tomorrow, but I have to show houses, so don't wait for me!

Christmas Cards

YES, I did do Christmas cards for 2009. And we took 499 pictures (or should I say that He-man's girlfriend did) Poor girl! And this was actually one of the better ones. I think one day when I have some time, I will just post ALL the pics she took. That way when my children have children and they'd like to take a family picture, they will see that they reap what they sow! I'm not even going to get into the gory details, but the boys thought they didn't have to wear pants since their legs don't show in the pic!

I was sick for basically the entire month of December. I still have nightly coughing fits, but they have improved considerably! But that is my excuse for not getting Christmas cards in the mail. I had put this picture on a nice note and printed them out to go in the cards. Hopefully it's the thought that counts because I definitely was thinking of everybody! I know for SURE I was hoping nobody had the crud that I had!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I had already decided 2010 was going to be SOOO much better than 2009. So far so good.

I know I have been MIA lately, and I missed posting about my trip with Suzi to Florida. Do I have the cutest niece and nephews or WHAT?! This pic was taken at the mall. I know, I know, WHO takes 4 kids to the MALL?! AND who gives them all money to buy what they want???

I can tell you, that wasn't MY brilliant idea :) I had been to Woody's BBQ at that point, and my belly was full. On vacation, that means it's nap time :) But now that I am not AT the mall with 4 kids, and never have to do that again......I guess I can admit it was somewhat pleasurable!

Well, at least when we went to the pet store and saw all the cute puppies anyway! Kids are like puppies. Why do they have to grow up??

If you're thinking, WOW, those kids look just like the Korndog kids when they were younger.....you're not the only one. That was definitely a trip of deja vu!!

Actually, I went back in the blog and found pics of the last trip to Apple Hill. We didn't go AFTER the season ended, we went before peak season. I posted pics last October 13. So now we know when to go! It was so packed with people. One place was parking people in the orchards, so our car was between 2 apple trees.

I am pretty impressed that all my pics from this year are different from the ones last year :) ENJOY!

Red Shirt - Red Friday

If the red shirt thing is new to you, read below how it went for a man...

Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a Marine sergeant traveling with a folded flag, but did not put two and two together..

After we boarded our flight, I turned to the sergeant, who'd been invited to sit in First Class (across from me), and inquired if he was heading home.

No, he responded.
Heading out I asked?

No. I'm escorting a soldier home.

Going to pick him up?

No. He is with me right now. He was killed in Iraq , I'm taking him home to his family.

The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to the gut. It was an honor for him. He told me that, although he didn't know the soldier, he had delivered the news of his passing to the soldier's family and felt as if he knew them after many conversations in so few days.

I turned back to him, extended my hand, and said, Thank you, Thank you for doing what you do so my family and I can do what we do.

Upon landing in Chicago the pilot stopped short of the gate and made the following announcement over the intercom.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to note that we have had the honor of having Sergeant Steeley of the United States Marine Corps join us on this flight He is escorting a fallen comrade back home to his family. I ask that you please remain in your seats when we open the forward door to allow Sergeant Steeley to deplane and receive his fellow soldier. We will then turn off the seat belt sign."

Without a sound, all went as requested. I noticed the sergeant salut ing the casket as it was brought off the plane, and his action made me realize that I am proud to be an American.

So here's a public Thank You to our military Men and Women for what you do so we can live the way we do.

Red Fridays.

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday ... and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that ... Every red-blooded American who supports our men and women a far, will wear something red..

By word of mouth, press, & TV let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?" is. "We need your support and your prayers." Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something red every Friday.

Bribery

It was bribery on both ends! I wanted her to stay completely off her leg since Friday morning when she went to physical therapy. She wanted her hair darker. I kept telling her I would see how good she did about staying off her feet and having ice on her leg. Well, obviously she did good!

She was so proud of it when she woke up and saw it dry this morning. She now wants it permanent. I think it's a good bribery tool. So no go on the permanent :)

Great America Competition

Last week started our competition season, and we were in San Jose at Great America. Poor girls have to get up early and go compete and ride rides ALLLLL day. Don't you feel sorry for them?

I'm beginning to think that none of my children look like me. Except for maybe the elusive one...a little. But even he is looking more like dad!

This competition they won first place in cheer and first in dance! Congratulations, girls!

They don't have their uniforms yet. They had to cheer at a jamboree last weekend. It was 400 degrees out there, I swear!

Poor thing, I felt so sorry for her. I would have been wringing with sweat had I been in the sun! As it turned out, I was under a tent for the 4 hours we were there. I STILL went home sunburned! I don't get it!

I figure if I put it here, I will know how many days until hatching! It's been taking between 7 and 10 days. They are bright orange on the first day. I read that means that our clowns are very healthy. Then they turn dark, and a day or two before they hatch, their eyes get silvery colored. It's really very interesting to watch. I think my female got injured last time trying to get the big fish away from her eggs. The tangs have a nasty little spike that they can hit with near their tail. I think she got spiked.

She stayed still in the anemone for a few days. She's looking better and is doing her thing again today. Never a dull moment in my tank :)

I am going to have some very sleepy, grumpy kids in the morning. One has to be to school by 7 and the other by 8. They're still not up right now and it's almost 9. It's all good tho. I will have at least 7 or 8 hours of quiet tomorrow. Besides that, I like routine! All the housework gets done at night before everybody goes to bed, especially if they have something they want to do!

I feel your pain. We have a different situation, but also must get rid of our children. We have one incredible 8 year old Lab mix (dog), three awesome cats, two adorable Guinea Pigs, and two teenagers. Unfortunately, we have too many family members, so therefore, must get rid of some since we took on more that we can handle. After much deliberation, we decided that the teenagers must go. I see older animals on here all the time being re-homed, so I decided to re-home my children, as we've had them long enough and are tired of them, and keep my animals, .

The 18 year old is a female. Current on all shots and not yet fixed. She has somewhat of a temper and an attitude that, like your female, needs to be adjusted from time to time. She would do best in a high-income home with no other children, as the whole world should revolve around her. She is immaculate appearance wise, but do NOT expect her to clean or pick up after herself- we've tried for years to train her but have been unsuccessful thus far. She is selectively hard of hearing at times,but otherwise, an overall good girl. With the right home, she could grow up to be a wonderful member of your family (I hope!) There is no re-homing fee for her as you will be doling out money to her for the rest of your life. Comes with many clothes and accessories, but requires new ones frequently.

The 16 year old is a male. Also current on all shots and not yet fixed. He is very laid back and has a good sense of humor. Gets along great with others (especially females of his own age) and does not require quite the up-keep that his sister does. Is a hard worker when bribed with some type of reward. Does not always wear (or care to wear) matching clothing, and does not require new ones quite as often as his sister. He also likes to be the center of attention, but would do well in a home with other children, providing he gets a little more attention than they do. He is very tall and has large feet which require you to buy him rather expensive shoes, especially athletic ones.

Both children "REQUIRE" cellphones, cars, ipods, and other luxuries that not everyone can afford so please take these financial burdens into consideration when considering one of these children. Also, and MOST important; I DO NOT suggest keeping these two together in the same household, as they do not always get along and like to fight with each other. I have to say, looking back thru the pics, I am ready to go back. There was lots that we didn't see. It was so relaxing and so fun. We saw some die hard campers, some die hard rock climbers. I really forgot what camping was all about. We were ready to just pop a tent that night. But hell, we couldn't find a place to even BUY one! We were very unprepared. The first hotel we stopped at was a complete dump. I went to see the price tho and when she said $175, I about fell over. Hubby said he'd rather sleep on dirt :)

We ended up staying at a really neat place. It had a store, a pizza parlor and hot tubs all over the place that overlooked the river I posted earlier. A bed, a store and pizza. What more could you want when you're camping :)

Our mule ride!

She was a bit testy about having to wear a helmet. Once you see some of the rocks we were riding thru, you'll understand. We had to sign waivers saying we knew we could die on this ride!!!

And, yes, she wore pajama pants. She wanted to wear shorts and we talked her into pants. This is the best we got!

Next 2 pics, kids and pets playing in the creek/river. I used to love doing this in Tennessee.

Next pic, I wanted to show that my dear mule, Clem, liked to walk along the edge. Not in the middle. Not on the side. I was hanging off the edge half the ride!!!!

Hubby was bringing up the rear with the cute cowgirl!

My mule did NOT like going down these hills. Not that I particularly cared for it either! Clem took care of me tho!

That girl ahead of me, she was so proud that in the middle of our ride, her cell phone got 4 bars of service! It must be the one place in the park you could get it :)

Just for the record, anytime we go thru a tunnel, it is a rule that we honk. Suzi pretty much makes sure we lay on the horn the entire time.

Now, looking at this pic, thank goodness we didn't cause a rock slide!!!

We passed a road at dusk that had been a victim of a rock slide. I couldn't get a good pic because of the lighting. They ended up making a one lane road because of it. Pretty interesting. I hope it didn't all come down at once, and I hope nobody was on the road when it happened.

Excuse any bug spatter. There was a car behind us, so I had to shoot thru the windshield :)

This is where we were over Father's Day weekend.

When we first were driving there, we were kind of like, ehhhh, it's okay. But the longer we were there, we saw the majestic beauty that was there. We had absolutely perfect weather. Other than having no cell service and no internet (gasp) it really was a perfect weekend!

And to say goodbye to that gap in between his teeth. He went to the orthodontist Thursday and they put a different wire, and he's got some serious rubber bands everywhere. That gap was nearly gone yesterday. I haven't seen him today!

When I was looking for pics for his graduation album, I found some of his teeth before hand. WOW! What a difference. And you can tell in the way he smiles too ;)
